The Process
What happens once you contact Triple I for a website consultation? We'll outline the steps below:
Phase 1: Consultation
Online or in-person we want to find out what your needs are so we can provide you with the best solution for your specific requirements. We have worked with organizations out of the province through online and phone communication but we also love to take you out for a coffee and discuss your project in person.
Some of the questions we will touch on are:
- What is your primary goal for your website or online marketing campaign?
- Who is your target market?
- What message are you trying to convey?
- What features would you like on your site?
Once we have worked with you to determine your requirements we will provide you with a free, no obligation, itemized project quote that will detail our recommendations and outline the costs for each service. We also provide hourly services as well. If you accept our proposal the following outlines the process for a general site and/or interface design and development.
Phase 2: Design
We will provide you with wireframes (outlines of the various pages on the site). Following your approval we will design the main web pages in using Adobe's Master Suite collection. These designs will undergo 2-3 rounds of revisions. Once the design is signed off and you are completely satisifed we will move onto the implementation phase.
Phase 3: Implementation
In this phase we turn the design into a website using HTML, JQuery and CSS for layout. We pride ourselves on providing top quality websites that are accessible and based in best practice methods. For example, images have alt tags so search engines know what they are about and screen readers can pick them up. We also add in the chosen content management system if one is required.
Phase 4: Pre-Launch
We set up a staging site for you to view the progress of your website. This way you can see it develop and make any minor changes as the site progresses. The sites are tested on Windows, Macs and Linux operating systems as well as browser tested in IE 7, 8 & 9 as well as Firefox, Safari and Chrome. Once we have done testing on the forms, e-commerce systems etc. we go through a site checklist to make sure everything is ready for launch.. Once this staging site is ready we will move to launching the website.
Phase 5: Website Launch
There are a bunch of items that happen when we switch the site live. We add analytics to the site so you can track who is coming from where and what terms they are using to get there. We set up any required email addresses and if you are using our hosting we set you up on the daily back-ups.
Phase 6: Post-Launch
The site is up and live. If you have a content management system we will provide you with a login and instruction manual as well as onsite training. We are always here to help should you have any questions about your website or updating it. We also have a 30 day warranty period after launch should there be any adjustments needed. Questions are always welcome - we are here to help.
